1631 – The white slavery of Barbery. 1.23 white European slaves of Barbery enslaved by the Corsairs in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. A village in Baltimore Ireland was taken in 1631. Made sex slaves by the Corsairs. (Ancient Origins. 6 Oct 2014).

1942 – Field marshall Erwin Rommel, commander in chief of the Afrika korps,  leader of the Axis forces in Libya from the beginning of 1942. Drove him across the Tunisian border after a chase. (Auckland Star NZ. NZPA. 13 March 1943. Papers past).

29 Jan 1942 – German and Italian troops occupied Benghazi Libya. (Chch Star NZ. Today in history. 29 Jan 2016).

1943 – George the pigeon. New Zealand pilot Norman Crompton and his crew, the Martin Battimore, in the sea off the coast of Libya in 1943. Four men with no food or water. 1970s – Italian P2 Licio Gelli organised a three way deal for oil and arms between Libya, Argentina and Italy. Agency for Economic Development. Which he and Umberto Ortolani owned. Wikipedia.

20 July 1973 – A Japanese airliner flying from  Tokyo to Amsterdam was hijacked to Libya. One hijacker was killed by his own grenade. The other was not tried.

Sept 1973 – Muammar Gaddafi's air force attacked an Italian warship near the Libyan coast. (Gods bankers. Gerald Posner. (c)2015 US).

1974 – Cuban economic and political cooperation began with Libya.

1975 – Libya made a huge deal for Soviet arms, thought to be worth over $500 million, including 2,000 tanks and 2 squadrons of M16, 23 jets. The Russian were glad to have the foreign currency.

1976-82 – Cuba cooperated with Libya in the political founding of the world MATHABA in Tripoli to provide political support to coordinate revolutionary violence throughout the world. Cuba supported Libya's stand on Chad. And the RENTE POLISARIO.

2 Dec 1979 – 2,000 Libyans ransacked the US embassy in support of the Iranian regime.
